OBS Studio enables real-time video and audio capturing and mixing. Users create scenes from multiple sources including window captures, images, text, browser windows, webcams, and capture cards. The software supports unlimited scenes with seamless switching via custom transitions. An intuitive audio mixer provides per-source filters such as noise gate, noise suppression, and gain, along with VST plugin support. Configuration options allow adding new sources, duplicating existing ones, and adjusting properties. Hotkeys control actions like scene switching, starting or stopping streams or recordings, and muting audio sources. Studio Mode previews scenes and sources before going live. Multiview monitors up to eight scenes for quick cueing and transitions. A powerful API supports plugins and scripts in Lua or Python.
