InqScribe uses local, AI-powered transcription to turn audio and video into text without cloud uploads. A media-savvy text editor enables flexible note-taking, mixing notes with transcripts, adding analysis codes, or inserting time-stamped comments. Users combine notes and playback in one window. Smart linking adds clickable timecodes to jump to exact moments. The software supports video and audio formats like H.263, H.264, MOV, AVI, MPEG, MP4. Timecodes handle formats including film, PAL, NTSC drop frame and non-drop frame. Export options include subtitles, tab-delimited, XML, and UTF8 for multiple languages.
