Miami MD has become a widely discussed name in the anti-aging skincare space — praised by some for real visible results and criticized by others for irritation, cost, and customer service issues. But what’s the truth behind the marketing?

In this detailed review, we analyze verified buyer feedback, before-and-after results, ingredient safety, and company transparency to see if Miami MD truly delivers what it promises.

Quick Verdict

Miami MD shows mixed performance.
Visible firmness and smoother skin for some users within 4–8 weeks.
Frequent complaints about billing issues, irritation, and lack of transparency.
Our Rating: ★★★☆☆ (4.8/10) — A conditional try for experienced users, not ideal for sensitive skin.

Brand Overview: Who Owns Miami MD?

Miami MD was founded by Dr. Jay Jegasothy, a dermatologist known for promoting peptide-based skincare. The brand’s core claim: achieve surgical-like firmness without invasive procedures.

All products are formulated in the U.S., but unlike clinical-grade skincare lines, no peer-reviewed trials or third-party safety certifications are publicly available — making real-world reviews the most reliable indicator of results.

Product Lineup

Miami MD maintains a compact collection focusing on anti-aging and skin texture improvement:

ProductPurposeKey Benefit
Age-Defying Lift & Firm CreamTargets sagging & fine linesPeptide + collagen boost
Advanced Crepe FixRepairs thin or wrinkled skinImproves firmness on arms & neck
Dark Spot CorrectorReduces hyperpigmentationEvens out skin tone
Total Beauty MatrixCollagen supplementSupports skin, hair & nails

This tight product line suggests focus but also raises the stakes—each product must deliver noticeable results to maintain credibility.

Ingredient Breakdown

The hero cream’s formula is built on:

  • Progeline™ – Marketed to inhibit progerin, a protein linked to aging.
  • Matrixyl 3000 – A peptide blend that stimulates collagen synthesis.
  • Argireline® – Known as the “Botox peptide” for its ability to relax facial tension.
  • Hyaluronic Acid – Deep hydration and plumping effect.
  • Ceramides – Strengthen the skin barrier.

According to Incidecoder’s product analysis, these ingredients are recognized in the skincare community, but the formulation's real-world impact depends heavily on concentration levels — which Miami MD does not disclose.

Aggregated Review Insights

PlatformAvg. Rating / SentimentCommon Feedback
Trustpilot2.5/5 (57% 1-star)Firmer, brighter skin for some; billing issues, no results, and irritation for others.
Amazon4.2/5Praised for lightweight feel and mild line reduction; criticized for high cost (Amazon listing).
RedditMixedReports of both noticeable improvements and severe side effects like liver discomfort.
BBBMultiple complaintsRefund refusals, worsening skin texture, and unresolved support tickets.

Review Patterns Over Time

From 2023 through early 2025, sentiment has remained polarized. Miami MD hasn’t significantly improved its customer service reputation or reduced negative feedback frequency. Positive reviews focus on results within 4–8 weeks; negative ones cluster around service disputes and skin reactions.

Top 5 Praises & Top 5 Complaints

Praises:

  • Visible skin firmness and smoother texture in as little as 6 weeks.
  • Lightweight, non-greasy application.
  • Subtle, pleasant fragrance.
  • Works well under makeup.
  • Hydrating without clogging pores.

Complaints:

  • Auto-renewal/subscription traps.
  • No improvement after months of use.
  • Redness, burns, or severe irritation.
  • Small jar size vs. price.
  • Unresponsive or unhelpful customer service.

Customer Service: A Mixed Reputation

Miami MD’s customer service is inconsistent.
While some users report fast refunds and friendly representatives, others describe:

  • Pushy upselling during cancellation calls
  • Refund denials within the stated 60-day policy
  • Subscription auto-renewals without consent

This inconsistency mirrors complaints seen in other online service platforms like Salytelearn, where refund transparency was a recurring issue.

Before & After Results – User Timelines

Based on verified reviews:

  • Week 2: Some notice smoother touch, no major visible change.
  • Week 4–6: Positive reviewers report lifted jawlines, softened lines, and a “rested” appearance.
  • Week 8+: For some, changes plateau; for others, improvements continue, especially on forehead creases.

Example: A Trustpilot user shared that her skin “looked five years younger” after two months, while another reported “absolutely no difference” after the same period and stopped use.

Pricing & Value

At $50–$70 per jar, Miami MD sits in the luxury skincare range. For those who see results, it’s worth the cost; for non-responders, it becomes an expensive experiment.

Safety & Side Effects – The Full Picture

  • Mild: Temporary redness, tingling, or small breakouts.
  • Moderate: Persistent dryness, stinging, patchy irritation.
  • Severe: Chemical burns, swelling, and rare cases of liver discomfort reported on Reddit.
  • Possible triggers: High peptide concentration, fragrance, preservatives. Sensitive users should patch-test for 48 hours.

Comparison with Alternatives

Brand/ProductPriceAvg. RatingKey IngredientsSafety Reputation
Miami MD$50–$702.5–4.2Peptides + Progeline™Mixed; irritation risk
Olay Regenerist$25–$354.5+Peptides + NiacinamideStrong, well-tolerated
Beverly Hills MD$65–$75~4.1Peptides + AntioxidantsGood; fewer complaints

Red Flags & Trust Factors

  • No clinical trial transparency.
  • High complaint volume on billing practices.
  • Safety concerns from multiple verified users.
  • Some positive reviews appear overly scripted.

These red flags place Miami MD in the “use with caution” category rather than a clear scam — similar to the reputation arc of niche beauty platforms previously examined in LiveGore’s mental health impact review.

Our Personalized Scaling & Rating

CategoryScore (0–10)Why
Efficacy5Works for some, inconsistent overall.
Texture/Feel8Universally liked application feel.
Value4Expensive given mixed results.
Service3Unreliable customer support.
Safety4Not universally irritating, but risk exists.
Overall4.8Conditional try, not a safe bet for all.

Expert Verdict – The Decision Maker

Miami MD is a “try with caution” product. If you’re an experienced skincare user, can patch test, and don’t mind navigating subscription management, it could deliver noticeable results. But if you prioritize predictable outcomes, transparent formulations, and hassle-free service, better-rated alternatives like Olay Regenerist might serve you more reliably.

Final Verdict – Should You Buy?

If you’re curious, buy from a retailer with a clear return policy. Keep receipts, set reminders to cancel subscriptions, and monitor skin closely. If, after 6 weeks, you’re not impressed, move to more trusted, proven brands.

MiamiMD Age-Defying Lifting & Firming Face Cream works as far as smoothing that crepey skin I started noticing on my upper arms. It does completely get rid of it and it does look better since I’ve been using this cream. I also use it on my neck and chest. It absorbs fast so no greasy feeling at all. It’s expensive but a little bit goes a long way and this generous size jar lasts me several months so it’s worth the price in my opinion. I’ll keep reordering it.

After trying Age-Defying Lifting & Firming Face Cream, I was sufficiently impressed to purchase its second jar. Within a few weeks I was receiving compliments on the more youthful appearance of my face. Yesterday, I met a young physician for the first time, and the first thing he asked me was, "How do you manage to look so young at your age?" I'm 80 years old and I give much credit to Age-Defying Lifting & Firming Face Cream for my smooth and healthy looking face.
